Microplastics are any piece of plastic that is less than 5mm, according to the U.S. National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, that are a direct result of plastic pollution and are harmful to the environment, marine life, and even humans. Due to their miniature size, microplastics often go undetected by filters and can easily contaminate our water and food, and when consumed by marine wildlife can cause health problems and even death. We’re highlighting 3 of the most recent 100% microplastic free additions to our library.
