Soliyarn: Future of Conductive Textiles
This unique reactive vapor coating method can turn mass-produced textiles and garments into electronic components while keeping their breathability and drape. Unlike other commercially available conductive textiles, this method yields electrically conductive clothing that can be worn, washed and ironed just like regular textiles. Soliyarn?addresses other basic issues that conductive textiles such as those with copper wires can’t, including breathability, hepatic?performance, and textile manufacturing integration.
It can be used in heated apparel to?regulate body temperature as well as physical?performance. It can also be integrated into health monitoring clothing to report basic metrics such as heartbeat and body temperature. Other common applications will include gloves, socks, resistive-heating garments, portable temporary shelters, and indoor and automobile climate control systems.
